Equipment to Bring
Please ensure that your camera has a standard sized hot shoe with centre pin activation for the studio lighting triggers we will be providing. If you are unsure about this, please give us a call on 07885 427 815.
For the Creative Studio Portraiture Workshop, please bring a tripod if you have one. If not, please let us know and we will be happy to provide one for you.

We provide morning and afternoon tea, coffee and water and a sandwich style buffet lunch for our in-studio courses. Please inform us beforehand if you are vegetarian. If you have any allergies or special dietary requirements we recommend that you bring your own packed lunch as we cannot be held responsible for any problems arising from such allergies or conditions.
For on-location Experiences, course participants will be given the opportunity to buy lunch locally. Alternatively, you may choose to bring your own lunch.
To book an Experience, please click on the Booking link within each Experience section which will provide you with an email to send to us. We will then advise you of your successful booking subject to receiving your payment within the following 7 days by a BACS transfer or by sending a cheque to us in the mail.
In the event that insufficient people book for an Experience, we reserve the right to cancel the Experience up to 2 weeks in advance of the date. You will then be offered an alternative date or we will refund your fee.
Please note that it is a condition of booking that images may only be used for personal portfolio use and non-monetary gain competitions but not for commercial resale. This is in alignment with the terms and conditions of the team and many of our prestigious venues.
Health and Safety
The Health and Safety of our photographers and models is one of our prime concerns. We run Risk Assessments for our courses and take precautions to keep everyone safe. However, we do ask that photographers and models behave responsibly and courteously at all times and follow any instructions given to them whilst in the studio or on outdoor locations.
Some outdoor Experiences involve a degree of physical exertion such as walking up hill slopes/climbing flights of stairs and carrying your equipment. It is a condition of booking that you accept personal responsibility and are capable of the required exertion.
You may cancel a booked Experience up to 6 weeks before the date without penalty. If you cancel 2 to 6 weeks before the Experience and we can re-sell your place, we will rebook you on another course, subject to availability. If we cannot resell your place or you cancel less than 2 weeks’ notice, we will unfortunately not be able to refund or rebook you as we will have lost income. If you fail to attend your Experience for any reason, then your fee will not be refunded.
In the unlikely event that we have to cancel an Experience, we will give you a full refund or offer to book you on an alternative course.
UK weather is notoriously unpredictable. For outdoor shoots, we reserve the right to cancel and re-plan an Experience if the weather looks entirely unsuitable. If this is the case, we will contact you and try our best to find an alternative date that suits everyone, or offer to transfer you to another Experience.
If the weather looks only partly suitable for a planned outdoor Experience, we will have a studio-based contingency plan in place. Our aim is to give you an enjoyable and fulfilling day.
We do not offer accommodation with our UK Experiences as we believe that this allows more cost transparency and client flexibility. However, if you book 2 back-to-back courses we will be happy to provide you with details of local hotels. Please note that these are not ‘recommendations’ and we take no responsibility for their price or quality.
Clients are totally responsible for the safety and security of their photographic equipment and any motor vehicles and we will accept no liability for damage or loss.
The PhotoArt Experience will accept no responsibility for death, illness or injury to clients whilst on an Experience unless it can be legally proven to be due to negligence by us.
Guidance during the COVID-19 Pandemic
All photographers, models and organisers will be required to adhere to current Government guidelines regarding Coronavirus safeguards including, but not limited to, social distancing and the wearing of masks where appropriate. You are required to refrain from the usual practice of sharing your screens with our models, the organisers and each other.
Please ensure that you bring a mask and hand disinfectant – as the opportunity to wash with soap and hot water on location shoots may be limited. Please note that access to public lavatories may also be restricted.
Please do not join the Experience if you have any COVID-19 symptoms. Notwithstanding our usual Cancellation Policy above, we are happy to refund your money should you be incapacitated by COVID-19 at the time of an Experience.
